Itinerary
Your tour guide will pick you up directly from the airport or after breakfast from your hotel in Nairobi depending on your arrival and departure time, and leave for Masai Mara. You'll drive through the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve.
This extensive reserve is actually part of the Serengeti vast plains famously known for its amazing great migration of wildebeests and is home to the Big Five: lions, elephants, leopards, buffalos, and rhinos. You will have lunch at the camp and relax shortly before proceeding for the afternoon drive. Other animals in the park include the Maasai giraffes, buffalos, elands, impalas, zebras, topi, and both Thompson's and Grant gazelles.
After an early morning breakfast, you will leave for a full-day game drive with packed lunch or agree with your guide to break for lunch at the camp depending on your choice. On the plains are large herds of herbivores grazing and cheetahs and leopards hiding in their locations. You will hardly miss seeing the Big Five (buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and rhino). At the park, you will have an opportunity to drive down to the Mara River, the site of the Great Migration when in season—July through October. The immense herds of wildebeests and zebras are a magnificent sight, matched only by the drama of the predators who lie in wait for them. For more experience at an extra cost, you will have the alternative of visiting the nearby Maasai community and witnessing their lifestyle and their traditional culture. You can have a pre-dawn hot air balloon ride high above the reserve as the morning light breaks across the golden savannah and witness the herds of wildlife emerging into the day.
You will have an early morning pre-breakfast game drive. After breakfast, you'll depart the Mara region for Nakuru arriving at lunchtime. After your lunch and short rest, you will embark on your afternoon drive in the park.
Lake Nakuru which is also called the pink lake and popularly known for its high population of flamingoes and other water birds, has other various species of mammals existing in its ecosystem. All the Big Five except the elephant are here as well as giraffes, zebras, hippos, waterbucks, and spotted hyenas among others. This park is rich with over 350 bird species. Apart from the popular greater and lesser flamingos, there are also plovers, marabou storks, white pelicans, and egrets.
After the delightful drive, you will return for dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.
After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Naivasha. On arrival, you will check into the hotel, have lunch and spend the afternoon at your leisure with a boat ride paid on ground at Lake Naivasha.
Much of the lake is surrounded by forests of the yellow-barked Acacia xanthophyll, known as the yellow fever tree. These forests abound with birdlife, and Naivasha is known as a world-class birding destination. The waters of the lake draw a great range of game to these shores. Giraffes wander among the acacia, buffalos wallow in the swamps and Colobus monkeys call from the treetops while the lakes' large hippo population sleep the day out in the shallows, zebras, impala, caracal, leopards and waterbucks can also be sighted in the immediate vicinity of Lake Naivasha, around the Crescent Island. In the evening you will return to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Wake up early for early morning breakfast and depart to Amboseli national park with lunch en-route. Upon arrival in Amboseli, go for an afternoon game drive where you will view the magnificent mount Kilimanjaro as well as the majestic elephants up close then come back to the lodge for overnight stay and dinner.
After breakfast you will have a full day game drive. Have lunch then go back for an afternoon game drive. You will have a wonderful time in the park viewing the majestic mount Kilimanjaro as well as the elephants up close. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.
Have an early breakfast and check out of the hotel with a game drive to the train station to take your train to Diani Beach. You will arrive at Emali Train station and then take a train to Mombasa Terminus where you will be met by our representative who will take you to your beach hotel which is Diani Sea Resort.
